2020 has been quite a rollercoaster ride and has changed so much of how we live our day-to-day lives. More than ever we are craving ways to support ourselves so we can ride the waves of life.
You already know that self-care is important.
What you may not know is that through the practice of yoga, in as little as an hour a week, you can calm the mind, balance the nervous system and breathe life into the deepest layers of your being.
Building consistent time for nurturing your body, mind and soul is proven to positively impact your physical and emotional health.
I understand how hard it can be to show up for yourself. I created this program because my hope is to share the incredible benefits that yoga has gifted me and to inspire others to tap into their own healing powers through dedication to self-supporting practices.
Restorative yoga is a system of yoga that uses props in longer held poses to support the body into deep relaxation in order to create space for calming and healing. This practice is accessible to anyone and is especially therapuetic in times of illness, injury, pain and over-scheduled lives. The use of yoga props such as blankets, blocks, bolsters and pillows, will support the body completely without muscular contraction. It utilizes passive stretching to increase flexibility and relax the body into the postures to melt away tension with breath and time.
Slowing down with restorative yoga will balance the nervous system, reduce stress, calm and quiet the mind, and improve sleep quality. When you deeply relax your body your mind will naturally follow, and you will grow your reserves of peace, compassion and patience to carry you through your day to day life.
RESTORE + RESET
Wednesdays 7:15 - 8:30pm
RESTORE + RESET is a 6 week restorative yoga immersion. We'll meet once per week for a 75 minute themed class to balance our busy minds and stay grounded thorugh whatever life throws us. You will cultivate a sense of calm, peace, and gratitude through commitment to yourself and the process. You'll grow your reserves of compassion and patience. This practice will help carry you through your day-to-day life as you journey into 2021.
